Sparks-TEF cartridges are manufactured from a membrane with uniform thickness, high pore volume, controlled pore size and designed for the removal of submicron organic and inorganic particulate matter. The overall characteristics of the membrane media insure that particles equal to or greater than the rated pore size are retained on the membrane surface. The structural stability of the membrane media eliminates media migration and the release of particles smaller than the removal rating even under pulsing conditions.

Manufactured from a highly hydro-phobic Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane, Sparks-TEF cartridges are guaranteed to provide media integrity and high flow rates throughout their useful life. Combining exceptional resistance to chemicals with high thermal stability, Sparks-TEF cartridges are ideal for the most demanding microfiltration applications. Particularly suited for the filtration of aggressive chemical solutions including acids, alkalis, solvents and enchants.

 APPLICATIONS:

Microfiltration of process chemicals, providing users of fine chemicals with a contaminant free supply.

Microfiltration of photoresists and development solvents.

Microfiltration of Ultra-pure water.

Microfiltration of moist gases.

Sterile tank venting of pharmaceutical and fermentation processes

Sparks-TEF cartridges can also be used for a wide range of sterile venting and the filtration of moist gases.

Sparks-TEF cartridges are constructed of a multi-layer of (PTFE) membrane and polypropylene support media, which are pleated and bonded together to optimize the filtration area while permitting efficient flow with low pressure drop. 

Each Sparks-TEF  cartridge, has an effective filtration area of 7.5 ft per 10'' module. Overall cartridge integrity is achieved by the absence of glues, resins, bonding agents and wetting surfactants thus maintaining minimum levels of extractables. 

Sparks-TEF cartridges are manufactured in a class 10,000 cloakroom. 

Each Sparks-TEF clean cartridge is integrity tested and batch identified prior to shipping.

Sparks-TEF cartridges are available in either standard or ultra-clean, rinsed with 18m? water to provide rapid resistivity recovery rates.

Sparks-TEF cartridges may be steam sterilized in-line or autoclaves repeatedly at temperatures up to 250ºF

Sparks-TEF cartridges are available in single or multiple lengths of 10", 20", 30" and 40". Micron ratings are 0.1 , 0.2, and 0.45. Sparks-TEF cartridges, furnished with a wide range of end caps, gaskets and O-rings, are designed to fit existing filter housings without modifications
